Picking a name that sticks
Keep it short
Under 15 characters is ideal. Short names are easier to remember, type, and say out loud.
Avoid hyphens and numbers
They're hard to say over the phone and easy to mistype. If the plain version is taken, pick a new name, don't decorate it.
Prefer .com
.com is still the default people guess. Alternatives like .co, .io, or .studio work for the right brand, but .com is the safe bet.
Say it out loud
Read it aloud and ask a friend to spell it. If they get it wrong, keep looking.
Check trademarks
A cheap domain isn't cheap if it infringes on someone's brand. Do a quick search before you buy.
